Blue Valentine

I saw Blue Valentine last week with a friend and I really appreciated the script and the acting. Blue Valentine is about a couple coming together and coming apart; about the beautiful love story between two strangers and the devastating truth that they do not belong anymore many years in the future. As depressing as the movie is, it is so acurate and raw that we cannot refuse its reality. It might not sugar coat and offer a happy ending full of hope, but it does offer a naturalistic look at love, at sex and at marriage. It is not because something is right at a time that it will stay right. People change, people grow apart and, unfortunately, love is lost. Not to mention that Michelle and Ryan act their butts off. The abortion scene will make every girl who watches the movie reconsider taking sexual protection lightly. You've been warned!
